Attention all 5th graders! The Georgia Milestones Assessment will begin Tuesday, April 9th, after we return from Spring Break (April 2-6). A yellow letter from Dr. Jones and Mrs. Carstens already went home detailing the subjects and dates of the tests. *Awards Day is this coming Tuesday, March 27, at 9:25am in the Cafeteria. *All students have copies of the RI (Reading Inventory) and MI (Math Inventory) scores from March 2018. We set goals today, and students have one more test for each in May. Homework: 1) Science: QUIZ on vertebrates and invertebrates on Monday. *Please get your report card signed tonight!

*Report cards go home on Wednesday, March 21st. Homework: 1) Math: Coordinate graphing, pages 526 and 527 in the packet I gave you. 2) Writing: Answer this question: What was the first time you remember being proud of yourself? Homework:
1) Math: Study for TEST on volume, finish practicing composite volume on the activity page we went over in class. 2) Science: TEST on cells and microorganisms tomorrow. Study from your study guide in your notebook. Happy Early Release Day! Please find the answers to the Science unit on cells below. The TEST will be this Friday, March 16th. Please use extra time to begin writing down the answers, and studying for the test. This will be your first grade for Science for 4th Quarter. :)

**3rd Quarter ends tomorrow and grades close; report cards go home 3/21. Homework: 1) Math: #2, 3, 4 on composite volume practice 2) Science: Read "Helpful and Harmful Bacteria" and put brackets around the key details. |
