Fall Break is next week, from September 26-30. There is NO SCHOOL next week. We will see you on October 3rd!
1) Social Studies: Civil War Quilt Project is due on October 7th. You have two weeks to work on it. Don't forget to bring home your Project Form and your textbook. *Wednesday is the last day of IOWA testing. We have Science and Social Studies tests.
*Please return the field trip permission slip for the Symphony on November 4th. We are ready to send home another permission slip, but we need the Symphony ones back, first. Homework: 1. Social Studies: 1) Study for TEST on Chapter 5, Civil War, Friday, 9/23. 2) Read textbook pages 140-145 and answer questions on "Vocabulary and Study Guide" glued into your notebook. 2. Language Arts: Subject YOU Understood, page 10. Two more days of IOWA testing! Tuesday is Math and Wednesday is Science and Social Studies.

We are halfway through the First Quarter now! *Tomorrow, Thursday, 9/8, there will be a meeting about a 5th grade club trip to Washington, D.C. in May 2017, at 6:00pm. 5th graders who are interested must join the Leadership Club as well. *A letter about the IOWA Testing went home today. Students will be taking IOWA tests September 16-21 in the mornings. Homework: 1) Spelling: WTW Sort 6 cloze quiz Thursday. 2) Math: Division, Volume I, page 177, #2-10. *Please make sure you are practicing your multiplication facts on Math Magician or Scootpad each night. Homework: 1. Math: Division word problems (Volume 1) on page 174 (7, 8, 9, 10, 11). Please use a strategy we have been using in class: multiplication facts, partial quotient, base 10 blocks. *You will get your "zero" facts on Friday for the Dirt Cup Sundae Challenge. 2. Language Arts: vocabulary quiz Thursday. *We hope to see you tonight at Open House at 6:30pm!
