After you set up your account, Seesaw will assign you your own code. When you type in your name, please use your first and last name so I know who is completing the activities. I can't identify you through nicknames, therefore, your account will not stay on our Seesaw page. -Mrs. Alwardt Per Governor, Cobb Schools will Remain Closed Through End of 2019-2020 School Year
We have been committed to keeping our community updated about the rapidly developing situation with COVID-19. Throughout the process, we have relied on guidance from the Georgia Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as our state leaders. In accordance with Governor Kemp’s guidance and to best prioritize student and staff safety, Cobb Schools will remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Per executive order from Governor Kemp on April 1, 2020 all public schools and colleges in the state of Georgia will be closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. School closures continue to include athletics/sports, extracurricular school activities, proms, school building activities, and trips. While our school buildings are closed, the education process has not stopped. All staff are working remotely to best support students, including delivering digital and physical instructional resources to students while they’re at home. We will continue to keep our community updated through this page as the most up-to-date source of information related to the coronavirus’s impact on Cobb Schools. “We continue to make decisions based first on student and staff safety and in consultation with the Georgia Department of Health and the Governor’s office.” — Superintendent Chris Ragsdale 4-Day a Week Digital Learning Schedule Beginning Monday, April 13, 2020, for all Cobb County students, and for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year, digital learning will occur on a Monday through Thursday schedule. Each Friday will be an opportunity for students to independently review their progress from the previous week and to catch-up on assignments as needed. No new work or assignments will be presented to students on Fridays. It was great to learn with so many of our 5th graders today! Stay positive, keep a routine, and be safe and healthy.

There is a new Journal Writing Prompt, "Describe how you are feeling after hearing that the 2019-2020 school year will not be completed inside our school building." You can draw, record your voice, and/or type your response, on Seesaw. We will have a Kahoot! spelling test tomorrow on our 20 words.
