Today we learned about accountable talk so that we can be respectful of other people's opinions and feelings. We used sentence stems to practice ("I respectfully disagree with you because..." "Could you provide more evidence for your opinion?").
*Some students did not complete vocabulary and/or spelling packets that were assigned on Monday, 8/5. They will have until Monday, 8/12, to turn them in for grades (they were given time each day in class to work on them). Today was our first Reading test on our vocabulary words! Tests will be given back tomorrow.

We are learning about Reading and Writing Workshops, and how to be accountable for our words, actions, and learning. Homework: Have a great weekend with your families! Monday: we will be starting spelling and vocabulary...be on the lookout for your packets. We learned a lot about Reading and Writing Workshops, and about each other. This is going to be a great year!
