.It was great to see so many 5th graders logged in to our video chat today! Keep up the great work!
Today, we worked on using context clues in a passage, paragraph, excerpt, or part of a text (piece of reading). We used the words around the bolded vocabulary words to figure out what the author was trying to say (we know that our vocabulary words can have more than one meaning). We used a paragraph from "The Velveteen Rabbit." Here's what you can work on next: 1) Log in to Seesaw (app.seesaw.me; use code in Remind) and complete questions in: Reading Comprehension (2 activities), Journal Prompt (2 activities), and Vocabulary Practice (1 activity). *Once you submit the activity to me, I can comment, and send it back to you. To respond, **Click on the button on the bottom right corner of your activity with the three dots. **Click on "Edit Item." **Add more information. Click on the check mark at top right corner two times. 2) Log in to Flipgrid through Ms. Alston's blog to practice math: https://matman01.weebly.com/. 3) Practice Spelling Week 27 words on Spelling City for a video chat quiz Friday: www.spellingcity.com/salwardt/, as well as Vocabulary Week 20 words. 4) Practice reading and language arts on Headsprout. *R.J. Palacios will be reading Wonder live every day from 12:00-12:45pm! Comments are closed.
