Please return all Symphony field trip permission slips by tomorrow, if possible. We will be sending the next permission slip home for our visit to East Cobb Middle School.
Homework: 1) Reading: We are working on reading information from more than one text; identifying similarities and differences, and then integrating the information so we can summarize or "teach" it back to someone else. *Vocabulary 18 words will continue through next week. 2) Language Arts: we are working on determining how to write the names of texts we read. Do we underline? Do we use quotation marks? The titles of major works are set apart from regular text. When you are handwriting, you underline the title of the major work. If you are typing the name of the major work, you will use italics. The title of minor, smaller, works are put in quotation marks (“ “). For example, I read Where the Red Fern Grows. (major work, a book) For example, I read the chapter called, "Where is the Red House?" (minor work, a book chapter) *Students have been working on examples in a packet in class. *Quiz tomorrow on underlining and using quotation marks in sentences to show text names. *Spelling Week 22 Test tomorrow; classwork due as well. Comments are closed.
