Reading: There is a quiz on the meaning and vocabulary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (author's purpose) tomorrow. Students, you created vocabulary flash cards today:
1) endowed: belongs to you; you own it and know it. 2) conscience: knowing the difference between right and wrong. 3) fundamental: basic level of importance; yours without question 4) inalienable: unable to be taken away. 5) charter: document created to state rights. 6) reaffirms: to promise again. 7) dignity: value and worth of a person. 8) upholding: follow through on; make sure it happens. 9) promoting: to support and believe in. 10) protecting: to keep safe from harm. 11) articulated: to be written or spoken clearly. **Lesson 5 Vocabulary test is Friday; packet is due Friday.
