It was a chilly day today, but we had a crackling fire going on the SmartBoard screen!
Reading: We continue to work on quoting accurately from the texts we read. We then use our background knowledge, plus the quoted information, to answer questions. This is our inferencing strategy. We also call it, "scrubbing our brains for information," because answers do not jump out at us, we have to really think it through. **Vocabulary Lesson 15 quiz on antonyms of 10 words--tomorrow. Spelling: Lesson 17 definitions (20) and super sentences (5) are due Friday. Grammar: Using adverbs as comparative (compare two or more nouns) or superlative (compare three or more nouns).
