What a chilly start to our day--who knew Georgia could face weather in the 20's this early in the season?!
Thank you to the parents who joined their 5th graders for Thanksgiving lunch! You brightened your child's faces, and I saw some smiles bigger than I've seen before on those kids! *Picture Re-take Day is this Friday, 11/15. *Turkey BINGO is next Thursday, 11/21, at 6:30pm! Homework: 1) Language Arts: we worked on using commas in a series (group of items) within a sentence, and when there is a conjunction in the sentence. Students should complete pages 245 and 246 in their commas packets. Ex., We need to buy eggs, lettuce, and pie at the grocery store. Ex., Maggie wanted to play soccer, but she didn't sign up in time. *Students should be studying Lesson 14 spelling words; test Friday. 2) Reading: we worked on the text structure of poems today (how the poems are organized for meaning). There is a poster under the "Reading Posters" tab above. *Students re-tested on Lesson 12 vocabulary words. The tests will go home tomorrow. *Lesson 13 vocabulary multiple choice test is tomorrow, 11/14. Comments are closed.
